Yanks have idea on their outfield: The Yanks want to add a first baseman more than an outfielder, according to the N.Y. Post. GM Brian Cashman imagines among Melky Cabrera, Brett Gardner and Johnny Damon, center field can be covered if nothing arises this offseason that makes sense. Cashman told the paper he prefers Damon "as our left fielder and leadoff hitter." This makes it likely Xavier Nady will be in right field and Hideki Matsui will be the DH.
